Founded by Erik Frederickson in 1974, Frederickson Electric has grown from a one-man operation to become one of the largest electrical contractors on the Olympic Peninsula by developing a reputation for quality work and outstanding customer service. Our experienced crew of journeyman electricians has an average of 17 years in the field. They are qualified to install and service everything from residential video and data networks to 480-volt equipment in commercial and light industrial settings. We provide continuing education so that all of our field employees are up to date with the latest changes in technology and electrical code requirements. We are also committed to jobsite safety, and we are proud to maintain one of the lowest risk classifications of all the electrical contractors in western Washington.

Hans Frederickson - President
Hans started in the family business at 12 years of age, continuing to do electrical work through his high school and college years. He left a career in engineering to join the company in 2005. He holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and is a Washington licensed Electrical Administrator. Hans is also a NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer™. Hans has developed expertise in a broad range of electrical systems and enjoys applying his knowledge to serve our customers.

Kim Rubida - Office Manager
Kim has been a resident of Port Townsend since 1987, and has been happily working at Frederickson Electric since 1999. When you call our office her voice is frequently the one you hear. She handles payables and receivables, payroll and tax accounting, plus the day to day issues regarding the computer and accounting systems. She tries to keep everyone else in line, as well as keeping the office function portion of the company on track.

Frank Trafton Jr. - Estimator, Project Manager
Frank is a Chimacum local who has over 22 years experience helping customers with their electrical needs. He has worked at Frederickson Electric since 1989, primarily doing electrical design, estimating, scheduling, and project management. Frank enjoys working with our customers through all the stages of a project to ensure that each installation is the best possible fit for current and future needs and is completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Erik Frederickson - Founder
Erik learned early the importance of care and quality in electrical installations. His father was chief electrical inspector for a large county in California and the dinner table was the instruction venue for do's and don'ts not only for wiring, but also for dealing fairly and honestly with customers. Although Erik retired at the end of 2011, his focus on customer satisfaction has become a permanent legacy. As he often said: "You don't survive long in a small town market if you don't do things right. We're proud to offer small town service to everyone no matter how large or small the project."
